I continue to steal my own mail. I haven't found the mailbox keys. Yet.
Today there were three letters from Princeton for the girl who lived here before me. Ms. Over Educated (she left her Harvard Business School nalgene in the kitchen, too,) was part of the 2005 graduating class at Princeton University. MOE is obviously doing well for herself, because when I finally started opening her mail (about a month ago - when the stack reached more than 10 letters, none personal, I was like, OK, I've got to know what's going on here!) I learned that the following departments want her money:
Princeton Tennis Team (4 Blue Chip recruits!)
Princeton Wireless Fund
Princeton Sustainability Management
Princeton Global Scholars Fund
Princeton Anthropology Team (??)
Tonight there's a letter all about Aspire: A Plan for Princeton which aims to raise 1.75 billion over the next five years. I read it twice. A billion. I feel like I oughtta try and make an effort to forward this one to her, because that's a lot of money. They're going to need all the contributions they can get! (At four years out from institutions that cost slightly less than 1 billion a year to attend, I'm sure she can spare the change to hook a uni up!)
Meanwhile, I looked for Christmas cards in English today. I'm thinking they'd be a good thing to knock out on the 187 hour flight home. No dice as yet, but the weekend is still young!
That's it, man. That's all I've got today. Tomorrow I'm working (I know - but with only 4 days in the office next week it's worth it...), playing basketball, finding Christmas cards, going to the fabric market and showering - not necessarily in that order. I'll see if I can't fight crime and save GM & Ford (Sorry Chrysler. If I never have to see a PT Cruiser again it'll be too soon) to spice things up. Wish me luck.
#6 Katie's Carol Countdown: Angels We Have Heard On High
Music & Lyrics by Edward Shippen Barnes & James Chadwick.
(Um, WOW. I couldn't find a link to just a normal choir singing this song, but I could find the world's craziest Christmas display. Can you imagine their electricity bill? Wow.)
